Revo-Rack is a unique design of luggage rack that eliminates the risk of paint damage, caused by steel clamps brackets or straps on the boot/trunk lid edges. Its precision lightweight aluminum and magnesium T5 alloy frame make it the ultimate convertible luggage rack. Three vacuum cups secure the Revo-Rack to the trunk lid with incredible force.
Revo-Rack has been independently tested and certified to ISO 11154 PAS 2006 : by TUV Group in Germany. It's been in manufacture since 2016 we have thousands of happy customers in the USA.
As the Revo-Rack is less than $800 there are no import duties and no state tax will be applied.
The Story behind Revo-Rack
When Antony our founder was test fitting a boot-bag to the new 2015 ND MX5/Miata at his local Mazda dealer he noticed how small the panel gaps had become. At this point the business had started selling luggage racks manufactured in Italy and the UK, a quick test fit of these racks confirmed that metal clamps on the edges of the boot/trunk lid on the new MX5 would likely cause damage. Thats when development of the Revo-Rack started.
Revo-Rack partnered with an American manufacturer of vacuum cups and a family business based in southern Europe that has specialised in bending tube for over 50 years. Revo-Rack is manufactured to small tolerances with great pride and attention to detail.
Independently tested and certified in 2016
Revo-Rack has been independently safety tested by TUV Group. Along with braking, speed and lab testing to a loaded Revo-Rack one of the criteria for certification involves a 645N force test. A lifting force of around 65kg/145lbs for 10 minutes to a Revo-Rack with a 25kg load on it. ( shown below ) The Revo-Rack stayed secure and did not bend or deform. If attached properly Revo-Rack is as secure if not more secure than a traditional clamp rack. See the full test criteria here
We are based in England north of Oxford just 15 miles from the Silverstone race track and take real pride in designing producing and manufacturing our products.
Revo-Racks are made by us and only sold by us. We like to consider ourselves a boutique business that gives personal customer service as our Trustpilot rating reflects.

The Revo-Rack Frame :
The Revo-Rack is manufactured from 1" 6063-T5 tubing this is an aluminium and magnesium alloy. As a result the rack weighs only 1.672kg perfect for todays aluminium and composite boot/trunk lids. The cross bars are machine welded in place to ensure consistency. Our manufacturing partners have invested significantly in tooling to create the one single upright radius.
The Revo-Rack frame measures 16.5"x35.5"
The Supports :
Revo-Rack attaches to your car's trunk using three 5" vacuum cups. There were developed in the 1960's to attach film camera's to cars. The technology is tried and tested. These are not suction cups. Suction is what creates vacuum. Vacuum is the total absence of air whereas suction is the process done to achieve a vacuum. The grey buttons on the side of the cups pump out the air creating a huge, securing force.
Vacuum cups employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth's atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force. Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching surface : thus creating a much more reliable hold. Because the full face of the pad is brought into contact with the surface, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used on materials of almost any thickness with little risk of damage.
The vacuum cup's pump features a plunger with a red line, which serves as a vacuum indicator. Introduced in the 1960's, this safety device is still recognized as one of the most reliable warning systems available. A few strokes of the plunger evacuate the vacuum pad, causing it to seal securely to the attaching surface. When the cup is attached completely, the plunger stops moving and the red line is hidden within the pump. A visible red line indicates that air has leaked back into the pad, making vacuum insufficient to use the cup. However, if the red line becomes visible while the cup is in use, a check valve allows the user to re-pump the cup without losing the remaining vacuum.
Lifting on the release tab near the edge of the pad allows air to refill the evacuated space, so that the vacuum cup detaches completely.
