1991 Miata Luggage Rack :
Revo-Rack Black $399.95
Revo-Rack PA $489.95
Revo-Rack is a unique design of 1991 Miata luggage rack which eliminates the risk of paint damage, caused by steel clamps or straps on the trunk lid edge. Revo-Rack comes in a choice of to finishes black powder coated or a version thats hand polished and anodised to create a deep shine. We have been making the Revo-Rack since 2016 with thousands sold globally
Revo-Rack attaches to your Miata using vacuum cup technology, these are not suction cups. Suction is what creates vacuum. Vacuum is the total absence of air whereas suction is the process done to achieve a vacuum. The grey buttons on the side of the cups pump out the air creating a huge, securing force.
In 2015 Revo-Rack was independently certified by TUV Italy part of the global TUV testing and certification business. It went through speed, braking and force tests, to ISO 11154:2006 Revo-Rack passed all these tests and is certified to carry 20kg/45lbs. Since 2016 we have sold over 10,000 Revo-Racks and never had a failure.

The Rack Frame :
This Mazda Miata NA luggage rack is manufactured from 1" 6063-T5 tubing this is an aluminium and magnesium alloy ( it will never rust ) As a result the rack frame weighs only 3.6lb The cross bars are machine welded in place to ensure consistency, the rack is powder coated black. The rack measures 900x420mm / 36"x17"
The Supports :
The rack is secured to your Miata's deck/trunk lid using three 5" vacuum cups, rated by the manufacturer as capable of holding an 40lb load each.
Vacuum cups employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth's atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force. Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching surface thus creating a much more reliable hold. Because the full face of the pad is brought into contact with the surface, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used with very little risk of damage.
Lifting on the release tab near the edge of the pad allows air to refill the evacuated space, so that the vacuum cup detaches completely. The racks sits 3" off the trunk lid
We have just completed our second long road trip with the Revo-Rack on the MX-5. This time we did 3,800km, mostly at high freeway speeds, but also plenty of curvy roads, and the rack held fast in all the wind blast and lots of lateral forces. Top up or top down, there was never a worry with the rack and luggage.
We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.

Huge shoutout to the people across the pond at Revo-Rack. They didn’t pay me or anything to endorse them, but the rack is honestly the best possible solution for adding storage capacity to the world’s favorite roadster. It left no marks and I am sure it would work well on other vehicles too. At around $300 the rack seemed expensive at first, but it worked flawlessly and even kept all that camping gear rock steady into triple digit speeds at one point. Plus it’s something that I’ll continue to use in the future.
Dear Anthony,
We are back in Holland after a trip of nearly 5000 KMS through France and Spain....You can see how we packed.
As you can see I used straps for extra safety. The rack was doing very well only one time I had to pump one cup extra.
