Revo-Rack Tested to ISO/PAS 11154:2006 — Road vehicles: roof load carriers
There is no ISO standard for luggage racks.
In 2015 Revo-Rack was independently safety tested and assessed by TÜV Italia, part of the global TÜV testing and certification group.
ISO/PAS 11154:2006 sets the minimum safety requirements for all roof load carriers intended for mounting on or above the roofs of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with a maximum permissible mass up to 3.5 t (ISO M08), as defined in ISO 1176. *(See ISO 11154.)* Revo-Rack passed these tests.
There is no standard for luggage racks. We believe this is the only convertible luggage rack on sale worldwide to have passed these safety and load tests. It also meets the European general safety directive 2001/95/EC.
In our view Revo-Rack is safer than a traditional luggage rack, which grips the boot/trunk lid edge with relatively small clamps and so concentrates the load of the rack over a very small area. With three 120mm vacuum cups, Revo-Rack spreads that load over nearly 300cm².

Revo-Racks capabilities have been tested by customers since 2016
The testing process included
- Driving with the Revo-Rack fitted at over 200 km/h (125 mph) on the Porsche Nardò test track in southern Italy, carrying a 20 kg / 45 lb load
- Driving the notorious Belgian pavé, the Revo-Rack loaded to 20 kg / 45 lb
- Emergency braking from 80 km/h (50 mph) — loaded to 20 kg / 45 lb, the rack stayed firmly attached
- Speed tests at 130 km/h (80 mph) and 180 km/h (110 mph)
- A ten-minute pull-force assessment with 645 N applied to the loaded rack in thelab, roughly 65 kg / 145 lb. The Revo-Rack stayed attached and did not bend or deform.

We believe Revo-Rack is the only convertible luggage rack on sale worldwide to have passed these safety tests.
